Investing in the Future

Investing in outdoor recreation, education and conservation contributes hundreds of millions of dollars annually to Iowa's economy, create jobs that enrich our lives, enhance our health and build community, including in Story County.

Governor Branstad in his 2015 State of the State Address noted that job creation requires both a favorable business climate and quality of life. He also noted quality of life is enhanced when we make investments in our parks, trails, other recreational and cultural activities.

With your help, we will create more opportunities to enhance outdoor recreation, education and conservation in Story County. In the process, we will create more jobs and literally, a more prosperous community.

Read how spending time with nature is good for our nature; the economic impact of investing in the outdoors and outdoor recreation; and, how to begin to restore Iowa' Water & Land at our links below.
